With regards to the Bay County Alden B Dow buildings mentioned above.
Veterans Park; west side of the Saginaw River between Midland Street and the Veterans Memorial Bridge. Much of the original park designed by Dow has been altered over the years as a boat launch, marnia and other improvements were installed.
Consumers Power Administrative Office; located on Wilder Road just east of the Bay City Mall. The building remains largely unaltered.
Thomas Defoe Residence; southwest corner of Green and Nurmi Streets. A private residence whose owners has carefully renovated the house to preserve its original design.
Messiah Lutheran Church; southwest corner of East Thomas (M-25) and South Hentry streets. The exterior and interior of the church is unaltered since it was built.
Peoples National Bank; southwest corner of Euclid and Kiesel Road. The exterior remains laregly unlaterd as designed by Dow. The interior has been renovated some but still retains its distinctive architectural design.
Temple Israel; southeast corner of Center Avenue (M-25) and Green Street. On an avenue of Victoiran and Turn of the Century homes, Temple Israel is one of Dow’s “wide frieze” designed whose simple exterior disguises an interior of color, light and space.
Delta College, 1960; South Makinaw and Dela roads in Frankenlust Township. One of Dow’s early enclosed college campus designs with a central corridor surrounding a landscaped courtyard. The College is renovating the courtyard using the original plans.
