but… holland/zeeland is not in allegan county.
check out florence hunn’s work in saugatuck area–1930s-1950s–see my book
‘Raising the Roof. The Buildings and Architecture of the Saugatuck-Douglas Area’
2nd revised edition, 2006, also including, the Ship’n'Shore “botel” and Jean Goldsmith’s house at 546 Butler.
We recently bought a home in Allegan that was purported to be designed/built by one of Frank Lloyd Wright’s apprentices. Is there any way to find out who the architect might have been.
Leslie,
I’m guessing that you bought a house on Lake Drive? My friend lived in a really nice home that the family claimed was design by an apprentice of Frank Lloyd Wright. If it is the same home I’m actually trying to figure out who design it as well. Any luck?
Moreover, if it’s the house I think it is (slate entry, two story living room overlooking the k-zoo river, walk out basement to a kidney bean shaped pool) I would look up John Randal McDonald? He has some work in Kentwood.

Thanks for pointing out the errors, James.
