Delphin Stanley Budzynski, Jr. was the son of Delphin S. Budzynski, an also an architect who lived and worked in Pontiac, Michigan. The junior Budzynski received his bachelor’s degree in art and design from Michigan State University and completed his graduate study at Lawrence Institute of Technology (LIT), now Lawrence Technological University, in 1953. While studying at LIT Budzynski worked for Ralph Calder Associates in Detroit, Michigan. Upon completing his graduate work Budzynski joined Warren Holmes Company as a job captain and designer. In 1965 he was made a partner at Warren Holmes Company.
