What does it mean on your listing when the name is in black or blue? I would like to see what you have on my father. Malcolm M. Williams and Richard G. Snyder.
They both worked at Warren Holmes in Lansing Mi.
Thank you for your time.
Elizabeth C. Williams
Hi Elizabeth. Thanks for writing. The difference in the color of the names is whether we’ve created a page for that architect, artist, designer, firm, or building. A blue name should have a line underneath it. That indicates that it is linked to another page. That second page would have information about the person, firm, artwork, or building. Text in black without an underline means we either don’t have any information yet, or haven’t posted it yet.
Unfortunately, at the moment we don’t have any information on your father or Mr. Snyder. If you can provide us with anything, we would be grateful!
Thanks again.

We have a painting by architect Malcolm Willams. His bio should reflect that he is a fine art painter as well. If his family (Elizabeth above, neighbors along time ago) would like the painting, please contact doverholt@me.com.
Hello,
Great site. Any information on Linden Pettys? He designed our home in Ypsilanti Township in 1958 and designed other buildings in the Ann Arbor area until the 70′s. His obituary from last year is below.

Thanks, Darin
Hi Darin,
We’ve not come across Linden Petty’s name before, so thank you for bringing him to our attention. We’ll be sure to post any information we find. If you have anything or come across any documentation, photographs, etc, we’d be appreciative if you could send us copies.
Thanks,

Dennis Anderson who ran Ralph Calder after Ralph died. Anything on him?
Hi Tim,
We do not have anything on Mr. Anderson. We will add him to our list of architects and designers who we must research. Thanks for letting us know.
I had the pleasure of working with Dennis Anderson while an architect with Michigan State University’s Physical Plant for many years. He died last year, but was a most creative architect who loved the practical, straightforward design solutions of his generation. The Ralph Calder firm had a long history with MSU, starting in the 1940′s. At least a quarter of the existing campus buildings were designed, and subsequently renovated or modified, by the Calder firm up to 2000. The Music Building, International Center, and Kellogg Center building evolutions are among the most prominent. After closing Calder Associates in 2000, and still vital in his eighties, he joined David Milling Associates.
