George Nelson Exhibit

Exhibition opens Saturday, June 16, and runs through Sunday, October 14, 2012

“Organized by the Vitra Design Museum, this exhibition is the first comprehensive retrospective of one of the most influential figures in American design. It includes over 120 three-dimensional objects, including examples of chairs, benches, desks, cabinets, lamps, and clocks as well as drawings, photographs, architectural models, and films. As design director at Herman Miller, Nelson had a major influence on the product line and public image of the company for over two decades. He played an essential role in bringing the company together with designers such as Charles and Ray Eames, Alexander Girard, and Isamu Noguchi.”
